Day 1: Arrival at the Airport
On arrival at the Entebbe International Airport, you will be received by one of our company representative who will welcome you and then drive you to your Hotel found in Kampala where you will have dinner and spend the night. Kampala Serena Hotel.
Day 2: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Following breakfast at the Hotel within Kampala, you will drive to Southwestern Uganda to BwindiImpenetrable Forest National Park. Along the way, you will stopover at Kayabwe – Uganda Equator for an informative talk and also take some photos.You will proceed to Mbarara town where you will have lunch. After your lunch you will continue with the drive to Bwinditraversing through the rising and fallingverdant hills plus highlands of southern Uganda. The road will take you to higher ground where you will see the beautiful triangular peaks of Virunga volcanoes found in Rwanda and Congo. You will drive on until you arrive in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, best known as home to the mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Wagtail Eco Safari Camp.
Day 3: Mountain Gorilla Trekking
You will have breakfast before 8:00am, and then transfer to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about the gorillas tracking activity. From here, in the company of armed park ranger guides you will enter the forest and begin searching for the Mountain Gorilla giants. You will walk through this forest, as you slash at the undergrowth, separate thick creepers, as you track the gorillas. Unfortunately we cannot tell for how long you will have to track since it all depends on the movement of the mountain gorillas. Nonetheless, it may take anything between 2 and 9 hours. On finding the Gorillas, you will be allowed to spend an hour in their midst as you observe them feed, play and take care of their young. You will also be able to take some photos and capture videos. Return for your dinner and the overnight at Wagtail Eco Safari Camp.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
In the morning you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park after breakfast through the southern part of the park known as the Ishasha area which is mainly known for its tree climbing lions that are normally seen in fig plus acacia trees. Continue with your drive to Mweya where you will have a guided nature walk inside Maramagambo forest to see primates and also visit the bat caves plus the blue lake. Dinner and overnight at Simba Safari Camp.
Day 5: Game drive and Launch Cruise
After a delicious breakfast, you will go for a game drive in the morning in the Kasenyi area. In this area you will see various animals including Lions, hyenas, Buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, Leopard and Elephants, as well as the elusive forest hog. Head back to the lodge where you will have lunch and later an exciting Launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel on which you will be able to see several animals like hippos, crocodiles and some buffaloes along the water edge drinking water, plus various species of birds. This cruise is a great opportunity to take photos since it will take you through perhaps the highest number of hippos. The large number of birds here is very impressive and astonishing with sights of birds such as the pink backed pelicans, saddle billed storks as well as the malachite kingfishers. Dinner and overnight Simba Safari Camp.
Day 6: Chimpanzee trek and drive to Kibale Forest National Park
Following breakfast, you will go for Chimp trekking activity in the Kyambura Gorge. The primate walk will give you a breathtaking experience as you slope down the steep escarpment as well as enjoying other wildlife. After this, return back to your lodge for mid lunch and then transfer to Fort Portal. Upon arriving, you will visit the crater regions for scenic viewing. Proceed you’re your Journey to Kibale Forest National Park for dinner and overnight at Primates lodge.
Day 7: Chimp trek and Bigodi swamp walk
Following your breakfast go to the Park headquarters found at Kanyachu where the park rangers will brief you about chimpanzee tracking. After this, in the company of the Ranger Guide you will set out into the forest to look for the Chimpanzee which are the closest friends and relative to man. Not only is Kibale Forest home to the Chimpanzees but likewise to more 12 primate species including the Red Tailed Monkeys, L’hoests monkeys baboons, red colobus as well as Varvet Monkeys. You will observe how the chimpanzees feed and even relate with each other. You will return to the lodge for lunch and later have a Nature walk within Bigodi swamp where you will be rewarded with views of various bird species plus some primates. The Bigodi is considered as one of the bird watchers’ paradise since it has very many types of birds that are mainly seen in the swamp. Return to the Lodge for dinner and night’s at Primates lodge.
Day 8: Fort portal tour and transfer back to Kampala
following breakfast, you will return to Kampala. Along the way you will visit various cultural sites in Fort Portal such including Toro Kingdom Palace in which their King Omukama Oyo stays. Later you will proceed to the Amabeerega Nyina Mwiru and then drive back to the capital Kampala having lunch along the way. You will be transferred to your Hotel within Kampala.
